2016 Summer Vacation Part 3 - Seminole Canyon State Park

Our third stop of our vacation was down at Seminole Canyon State Park and Historical Site.  This was a very neat place.  It is right on the border of Texas, right outside of Del Rio.  It is known for the ancient cave drawings that are in the canyon bluffs!  The drawings are only viewable via a guided tour.  We very much enjoyed the tour.  There were some other hikes that traveled the ridge of the canyon but it was already getting to be quite hot when we were done with our cave painting tour that we weren't able to do those.  We only had two nights here.  On our first evening we had very good authentic Mexican food in Del Rio.

We were here from June 1-3, 2016.

This was our first views of the canyon - pictures do not do it justice.

My Mexican food dinner - YUM!!!!

Daniel got pictures of another lightning storm!

We had a beautiful sunset our 2nd night!

Alyssa was finishing up breakfast the next morning!

At the end of this stop we were 1/2 way through our trip!  7 nights down - 7 nights to go!

Until next time,
Kellie
