WE HAVE A NEW CAMPER!! - And Lake Whitney State Park January 15-18, 2015

Well, after the first of the year we decided to look at campers...originally thinking it would be 6 months or so before we purchased...only to purchase one two weeks later LOL!!!  But we are so super excited about our new "home away from home".

We ended up purchasing it at the Ft Worth RV Show from FunTown RV in Cleburne!

We decided that funner way to pick it up than to head straight to a camping spot with it!  So we made reservations at Lake Whitney State Park!

Ok - so when you are moving out of a camper that you have had for 3 years...it is almost like moving out of a house LOL!!  And since we were going straight to a campsite from the dealership we had to have loaded what we needed in the new camper.  So it was basically a chore of boxing and stacking up everything so that it could be easily moved from the old camper to the new one.  Here are a couple of pictures of the all camper all packed up.

At the dealership we just moved stuff over and then when we got to the campsite I unloaded everything and put it all away.

We are all so super excited about our new RV!  We want to go camping every weekend!  LOL!

Thanksgiving 2014 Camping Trip

WOW!  I came on the blog to update it and had no idea I was so far behind!!  I can't believe that I haven't even posted the Thanksgiving trip yet!  YIKES!!

We decided to go camping with my folks the week of Thanksgiving.  They now have a pop-up camper and we thought it would be fun to camp together.  We camped at Lake Livingston State Park so that we were close to my sister's house so that she could join in on fun as well :-)  It was an awesome week!  In fact we already have our reservations made for Thanksgiving 2015!!  YEA!!

I decided to be festive and bring some our Thanksgiving decorations from the house to decorate the camper!

Thanksgiving Feast!!!  MAN DID WE HAVE A FEAST on Thanksgiving!  We grilled a turkey and put a ham in the crock pot!  We had stuffing, green bean casserole, cherry salad, sweet potatoes, corn casserole, and much more (I am drawing a blank on everything now LOL but you can see from the table we had an abundance of wonderful food!)

On the day after Thanksgiving we made some fun nature crafts.

We also had fun geocaching!  It was Joey's first time to go geocaching and he found ALL of them!!

At night the adults had fun around the campfire while the kids played.  One night they even got to have tons of fun with glow sticks!

It was a super fun trip!!  And we can't wait until this year's Thanksgiving trip!  And we didn't know it at the time, but it will be in our NEW camper!  In fact this was the last trip in our Wildwood camper!  More posts will be coming soon about our NEW camper!!!  :-)
